Welcome to BVPPA.ORG, the web presence of the Brazos Valley Public Purchasing Association. BVPPA was founded back in 1991 by a committed group of local procurement professionals who realized there was a real need to come together as peers to share their experiences, learn from one another, and grow both professionally and personally.

BVPPA membership is open to all employees of the public sector involved with supply management, and to those who promote opportunities for disadvantaged and historically underutilized businesses. Though based in College Station, BVPPA membership has grown to include those affiliated with many cities, counties, school districts and institutions of higher education located throughout the beautiful Brazos Valley region of Central Texas.

As public servants, BVPPA members take great pride in doing their part for the greater good of our communities by providing opportunities to local businesses, acquiring and managing resources for our end users, minimizing risk to our institutions, while, above all, defending the public trust of our constituencies.

If you are employed in the public purchasing arena, and are interested in becoming a member, please feel free to contact me for more information concerning the benefits of joining the BVPPA family. If you are a vendor representative, don't hesitate to give me a call, too. Without the support and sponsorship of our vendor community, we would be unable to provide our quality continuing education programs at the affordable prices BVPPA is known for.

I want to personally thank you for taking the time to visit our web site. I hope you find it informative and engaging. And, if you are ever in the Bryan/College Station area, give me a call. The coffee's on me!

Best wishes,

Mary Williams

President 2008-2009
